I shop Aldi often and visited your 5828 Abrams Road Dallas, Texas 75214 location 7/28/2023 where I encountered cashier Tylesha and felt quite embarrassed after having a different experience than that of a white woman who was checked out prior to me. I noticed the patriotism of the cashier, she said hello, how are you doing several times, did you find everything ok, tried to initiate a conversation, but the white woman started laughing at her because it was strangely obvious, she was trying entirely too hard to suck up to her.
I was next in line, and noticed a 360 degree demeanor change.
I never got a hello, how you doing did you find everything ok or nothing to make me feel as a valued customer. She just sat in silence as she started scanning my items. Since her demeanor had changed so drastically, I just asked her to please check/confirm a price for my bag of oranges .
I had a problem with one of my credit card pins-it's rarely used and its been a while. Nonetheless, I figured the pin out, paid for my purchase and still did not even get a thank you.
Just pure disbelief that a young black woman could be making such a class distinction. This is not the only Aldi's store I shop and find that it happens quite frequently with the black cashiers. It's called having no people or customer service skills as well as perhaps personal experiences from living.
I'm sure there is some type of company incentives for hiring individuals who qualify for government subsidies programs.
It too felt like your employees have very low self-esteem and seems conditioned into thinking less of herself as well as her race. She doesn't appear to have much education but every customer should be acknowledged and treated the same rather than disdain, and disparage treatment based on race.
User's recommendation: There is an invasion of that type of behavior in the Dallas TX area with so many new comers. However, it is pushing consumers to shop where they feel appreciated.

Had a very bad experience at ALDI today 6075 St Andrews Rd, Columbia, SC 29212 June 21 at 4:00 pm I was there with my 13 years old daughter. I had last 30 doll on my card I had to feed my 3 kids dinner which I cook all the time.
I went through self checkout, one item I ran twice. The lady didn't come over to me from her cashier place she just yelled what do I need to cancel, I told her she cancel it from her spot. Then I ran all the groceries it's came up to 19,98 I payed , but self checkout machine never gave me receipt. I check my card my money was removed.
I ask my receipt but instead the manager lady snatched a grocery box from my hands like I was a some kind a thief and started telling me that they cannot give me a grocery back nether my money. I kept explaining and show my account that money has been removed! And i don't have another money for today dinner for kids! They left me without grocerys and without my money.
She was rude and told me that you not going to starve without this groceries! And that she is not going to talk with me anymore! I called my bank they stated that ALDI got my money! I was always going to that store, I am nice person, nice to cashier workers, I always put my grocery close to them and that barr code facing them to ease their work!
But at that point I broke down started to cry in the store in front of my daughter the other guy manager came down and said that is not their fault that on their end money was not removed. I kept showing them that it did, and it's happened in ALDI store THEIR machine had glitch or something. THEIR store created a problem for me but refused to solve it! I felt so horrible and embarrassed to cry over there!
And I told that's it your store left my kids without dinner and without my money! And the guy said that he don't even feel bad about it! When I returned to store with my bank on a phone they still didn't return my money or give my grocery. Why they spoke to me this horrible unprofessional way...I don't know what to think I never experienced anything like that.
Especially with my child besides me.
I feel like if it's happened in your store, with your machine then it's need it to be resolved in your store. After all that scandal my I had a bad migraine so my health also been affected by unprofessional workers at ALDI
