Customer Complaint
Cashier, Selina @ Store #25, on Cyber Monday, November 29, 2012 at 7:00 pm, opened her register and motioned for me to enter register #2. Moments before, a young customer behind me rammed his cart in my back and I turned to see what was happening.
I said to him, What are you doing? Selina immediately downplayed the incident brushing me off and stating that it is okay, just go to register #2. I requested an apology from the young customer, about 13 yrs. old.
I proceeded to Register #2 with my cart, groceries, and a bag with four (4) Snack Packs cream cheese dip with pretzels to exchange for four(4) new Snack Packs due expiration dates. I immediately stated to Selina that I was returning i4 items in the bag and I had 4 new snack packs. My grocery total came to $27.28. I immediately knew that something was wrong.
I challenged the amount and noticed that Selina charged me for eight (8) snack packs when there should have been an even exchange. When I brought it to her attention, again she brushed me off and told me to move aside to get it straight because I was holding up her line. I responded that I would not move aside and that I would stand there until she corrected her error. Selina became rude saying that I never told her anything about a return/exchange and called the manager, Sandra, stating she just wasnt feeling any of this today.
She continued to banter with me stating that I never said anything to her; asking customers behind me if I said anything to her. I reminded her that her customer service was very poor and I felt ridiculed by her continued banter. I told her to hat I would definitely contact Corporate Office and Selina stated, Just do what you got to do. Sandra, the Manager, politely refunded my money and showed me the store number and the cashiers name.
Throughout this polite encounter with Sandra, Selina continues to banter about the issue with other customers and calling me names like stupid and dumb. I got my refund and exited the store to put my groceries in my vehicle. Selina came out the store and continued to banter about the issue with a co-worker clearly loud enough so that I could hear. I am a loyal Aldi customer for the past six (6) years and have never encountered such rudeness and impropriety as this.
I will never visit Store #25 for fear of bodily harm and ridicule from this Cashier. Surely, Aldi has employee programs for issues as this and I think Selina may need more customer service training.
I felt very low and ridiculed upon exiting the store.

I returned items, 4 different receipts. 3 were recent, 1 was older.
Mgr saw the older receipt only and got angry. He said "We have to throw this stuff away." I said I knew that, so why did it matter if it sat in my car for 3 months, and also explained that there were other very recent items. He was very rude. (Description: short, 50ish, brown/ gray short hair w goatee, 28th & Yankee Hill Lincoln, NE)
Then I asked about a bottled drink I've been trying to buy for a month.
He claimed he got it in 4 times in the last week and sold out each time. Every flavor? Every bottle? Every day?
Plus there are several different kinds of flavors and there were NONE of any flavor, all week, all month. I got 1 bottle at our other location. He was sooo rude. A customer can be rude, not an employee.
(I was not rude, I was frustrated that he was giving a blanket answer to flavored bottled water that comes in 2 sizes and 8 flavors, and he was responding that customers come in and buy them in cases all at once. That's true, but not ALL flavors, all sizes and empty shelves for weeks. He refused to come look at the specific water I was speaking of, perhaps there's a supply problem.) I've never had a manager of any grocery store treat me like he did, mostly because of 1 old receipt.
I've never seen him before on any visit to that store. I'm furious, and I wish I could boycott the store, but that doesn't hurt him, it hurts me.
