I was double charged

Aldi Grocery - I was double charged

I use the self check out and finished ringing all my stuff right before 8 PM which is closing time at my Aldi. I ran one card it went through for $203.

I ran my second card it went through. I ran a third card it charged it but didnt fully charged it and then their payment machine froze. They could not get it to unfreeze and I was there until 9:30 PM an hour and a half past closing and finally they just switched my stuff over to the next register re-rang it and then ran my cards again this time I used two cards in cash and I was told that within 20 minutes I would receive a refund that was now 15 days ago And I still have not received a refund on any of my cards and they do not want to except responsibility. They have continuously told me that they have released the funds and to check with my bank.

The first one is an EBT purchase. The second is my cash app and I have the app for it so I can definitely see that theyve not released the funds. The third is my chime and I can also see on there that the funds have not been released or put their there because it would show it.

They just dont want to accept responsibility every time I speak to somebody they give me to somebody else on the phone and that person does not wanna accept responsibility either they have stopped emailing me, and at this point in time I have no idea how to receive any of my money back. I am struggling I have a child in the hospital and I need to get food at my house but thats not their responsibility.

Product issue.

Purchased a product, had to wait 2 weeks to set it up. The parts do not match up, so it cannot be put together.

Asked for replacement or contact information for the vendor. Cannot have that. Was told to get a refund.

If I didn't want the product I would've purchased it. No convenient to go to the store.

Did you go to urgent care or the ER and have the medical proof it was this exact product that caused you to become ill? Because without medical proof, you cannot rightfully point the finger at any particular food item.

Maybe move on with your life. These things are obviously too much for your old and broken down system to handle.

They are nuts. Nuts come in a shell.

Can't think of a bag of nut pieces that doesn't say there may be shells in the package. It isn't possible to be sure 100% of the shells are removed.

I alway go out of my way because I LOVED Aldis . Drove 30 min there and 30 min back .

Today I got some pork chops February 19 and when we got home and opened them they smelled awful. I look at the date and they were expired. From Jan 30th !!!

So freaking gross not worth to drive back to get a refund. So pissed.

Sometimes things get missed in stock ration at any grocery store. The expiration date is in plain sight. Take the time to look at it when you are making a purchase to avoid problems like this.

I bought milk last night, 3/1/25, at 7:30, labeled with a March 10 expiration date. I got home shortly after and opened the milk to have a glass, only to find out it was spoiled and chunky, rotten after consuming it. I'm disappointed and want to contact someone about removing that supply of milk so that others don't buy it.

Aldi Grocery - Choked on a foreign object inside a piece of lambshop

I am alone was looking forward to cooking the land chops I purchased in the St. Petersburg location on Tuesday or Wednesday of this week. Once cooked ate the first 3 all good, then took a bite of the 4th and lady one and wax chewing, then felt what I thought was a bone that I swallowed, I panicked try to cough it out stuck my finger down my throat, gagged, I was not able to breathe and thought I was going to die again stuck my finger down my throat deep as I can go and threw up about an inch spring foreign object.

Employee complaint serious

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Apr 21, 2025

Employees are unfriendly and act like customers are a chore. Maybe they need attitude adjustments or to find a new job.

Original review Apr 19, 2025

emoloyee in his 30s -40s white male overweight with bowl haircut was screaming across the store Aldi was closed. A customer came in the door and he said were closed, leave now.

I just saw you walk in so turn around and leave. An elderly lady he was checking out told him he was incredibly rude yelling at customers. He said he didn't care because and he screamed again Were CLOSED! Seemed mentally unstable and everyone kept turning and staring at him.

Someone like this is not fit for working with customers.

No one felt safe. I don't know if he was on something, but it wasn't normal behavior.

Horrific treatment from the cashier in the store

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
Updated by user Feb 26, 2025

The event was horrific. And the REFUSAL to connect me to supervisory personnel remain apalling

Original review Feb 25, 2025
I have been patronizing this Aldi -- on Elm Road in Cortland Ohio area -- since we moved here in 2023. I am disabled, as all who have helped me find products as well as all who have checked me out already have been made aware i.e., two replaced knees, back surgery, and two shoulder surgeries (the latest of which was December, 2024).

When preparing to check out I have place all my groceries in a box so as to not make multiple stooping attempts to lift them to the belt at the cash register. In doing so I turn the bar code up so the cashier can easily scan these items. Until today I have been greeted and treated incredibly well and as a customer. Today, a younger man was at the register and I was trying to put the items in the box as noted.

He said, "I will not check those things out until you remove them from the box." I shared with him that I needed to do this as had been done because of physical issues. He refused to check me out. I walked away and, as I was he told me, "You need to get back here and take care of your groceries." They weren't my groceries as I had not paid for them yet. I then yelled BACK at him, even as HE had done to me with this last statement, and left.
I am disabled, and by the American's for Disability Act accomodations are to be made.

I did all I could to make it easier for him to simply scan and put the box of groceries back in the basket even after checking them out. He LAUGHED.
What the xxxx kind of customer service have YOU gone to that YOUR employee -- ACTING UNDER THE ALDI MANTRE -- will do this? I will NEVER go back. This store, and this company has decided to treat people as a convenience to them, rather than a customer with them.

And to do so in this manner is beyond atrocious.
I then tried three times to get through to corporate on a toll free line, was hung up on two times after asking for a supervisor, and then on the third time was told, the person was an operator, to tell her, and that I could not speak with a supervisor. to try to work chain of command and report it in house BEFORE I reported it here.

User's recommendation: Do NOT go there. You WILL be an inconvenience and refused to be checked out. You WILL be told and ORDERED to "GET BACK HERE" rather than asked, "How can I help you. AND you WILL be IGNORED when you call the Aldi Corporate Line and told, "I'm an operator. You need to tell me instead of any management!" ut. You WILL be seen as a bother, rather than as a customer. You

" "I will not check those things out until you remove them from the box" "I am disabled, and by the American's for Disability Act accomodations are to be made" You are NOT special. Those are the rules at most if not all Aldi stores.

YOU sound like a lame brat using words like "horrific" to describe a self-inflicted situation. If YOU can't cope with a simple shopping situation, then YOU must have your stuff delivered to your home. People are so over entitled lames like you.

You are now in the Find Out phase. This will not go well for you in the future.

Poor customer service and they forgot items in my pick up order

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

When I picked up my Aldi pick up order. I said hi to the worker putting the groceries in my car and she didn't even acknowledge me.

She just put my groceries in my trunk. As she was finishing I said thank you, and she continued to ignore me and walk away. Once I got home I realized I was missing all of my frozen items I had ordered. I had to drive all the way back to the Aldi.

And asked to speak to the manager. They told me the manager wasn't there and that the woman that brought me in my order was the manager. So the manager is the employee that messed up and didn't give me my proper order. In my opinion, she should not be a manager, if she can't even say hi to a customer.

What is Aldi going to do for me? Because I do not live close and this was a big waste of my time and inconvenience.

If you do not live close, as you state, didn’t you get out of your car to arrange your frozen food in that insulated bag you brought? For that long trip home?

At which point you would have seen it was missing. I’m not excusing their screw-up but it sounds like an exaggeration of details so you can spout off “what are you going to do for me?”.

Tampered with product

Contains 4 confidential files for company representatives

I am very concerned. I bought your cooking stock, turkey broth, made from Chef's Cupboard.

It was tampered with; the seal was broken, and I bought two of them and both were the same. I've tried several numbers and can't talk to anyone.

Someone needs to stop people from buying it during this Thanksgiving season. I don't know what somebody has done to it and I'm afraid to find out.

"rushed me through" That's their job and one of the features of the store that is an efficiency booster. Cashiers are "graded" on how fast they check you out.

If the pace of an Aldi is too fast for you, it's time to shop elsewhere.

Other people come in expecting to spend as little time in the store as possible. Their lives should not be disrupted because of YOU.

Being inconsiderate to customers is not ever acceptable ...Many are elderly and are moving as fast as possible for them..Your clearly part of the problem . Learn some manners.

No One Cares. If the elderly (who have had their way for 40+ years) can't keep up, it's time to hang it up. Younger people with things to do who are kicking up to the system they won't be able to access don't have the time.
